Our certified landscape designers and technicians


Mervyn Salt Landscapes is committed to staying up-to-date with industry trends and practices. We are members of the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA), the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) and the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce.

Each year we attend the Landscape Management Clinic in Louisville, Kentucky, the Western Nursery & Garden Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Landscape Industry Show in Los Angeles, California, the Northern California Turf Grass Council's Landscape Show in Santa Clara, California, and the California Association of Nurserymen show in San Mateo, California. We also exhibit our gardens at the Santa Clara Home & Garden Show held each year during the months of January and September. We have participated in this event since 1988.

	Our landscape designers are Certified members of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD). As Certified members, they are required to uphold the standards of practice prescribed by the APLD, as well as complete 30 hours of continuing education over a three-year period.
	Our landscape technicians are highly qualified professionals who work under the supervision of our senior landscape technician, Rafael Garcia, and Mervyn Salt.
	Our entire team participates in safety training every 2 weeks. Training involves review of videos on safe working habits and use of heavy power equipment.
	We are well equipped with the tools and machinery needed to complete any landscape project. We have a tool trailer, which carriers our hand tool equipment, a dump trailer with an 8 cubic yard capacity for demolition material, and a tractor trailer. We use our Chevy 3-ton towing vehicle to haul these trailers to the project sites.
